That camp called Winnarainbow

Never, ever have I been to a place, that has the ability to warm your heart, and push your spirits, as much as Camp Winnarainbow. This place is over whelmingly flabbergasting, in every way. Especially in terms of proving what a family truly can be. There is no other place in the world, that preserves happiness, fun, and cheer like Camp Winnarainbow does. Even if you stay for maybe a week, a session, or the whole summer, I guarantee, it will be the greatest experience of your life.

It was invented 35 years ago, by a traditional hippie, clown geyser named Wavy Gravy. And in that 35 years, Wavy, and his wife, Jahanara have created an environment of pure amazingness, there is literally no other way to describe it.

During the session that you stay, you live in a tipi, isn't that awesome!? The tipi groups are divided by age, and gender. And there is really no need to be shy, because I assure you, you can develop a friendship with someone there faster than any other place in the world.

Everyone gets along as if they were close relatives. Everyday we all sing songs, hang out, and eat together. Camp Winnarainbow is filled with some of the kindest people you'll ever meet, and I think the reason of that is because no one's afraid to be there selves, and opening up can bring out the best in a person.

Camp Winnarainbow is a place of non stop fun and thrill. It's like being at your favorite amusement park, but 10 times better. Each counceler, camper, and staff is polite, kind, and courteous. They never tell who you are or who should be. Everyone at camp, is there to help you spread around all of your positive elements. The purpose of camp is not only to teach you performing arts, but it's also to teach you to be a kind, loving, and happy.

What do they do there? They do just about any eccentric artistic skill that you can ask for. There's stilt walking, unicycling, theater, juggling, gymnastics, aerials, singing, song writing, hip hop, art, poetry, dance, improv, clowning, tight rope, and there's also a chess competition! You absolutely couldn't ask for more! There is also an event of somesort every night! There's a dance party, that's a whole lot of fun, and there's generally some pretty decent music. And there's also a talent show type thing called the "Tornado of Talent-t-t-t-t" where people who want to perform, are able to! I usually play a song on guitar.

Camp also provides breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the morning, afternoon, and evening. It's all very well done, and delicious. And also, most of the time there's dessert, and that's really cool if you ask me.

There's a 6 hour free time period everyday, where you are free to just chill out in your tipi, play chess, hang out at the big top, which is the place where all the gymnastics take place, you can just roam around pretty much anywhere. And it's a lot of fun hanging out with your friends.

Words cannot describe how outstandingly beautiful this place really is. I just wrote all of this, so that people can understand how much Camp Winnarainbow means to me. For me, the world would be blank, dull, and emotionless, without it. I live for this camp. I love each and every aspect of it. I love the people, the environment, the activities, the feeling. I love the songs, the classes, the companionship, and the heart. I'd like to thank each counceler, camper, and staff for making my dream come true. Because without the people, there is no camp, so thank you.
